Think of all the idiots who have watched this over the years trying to determine whether Rudy was offsides or not. The most-viewed Notre Dame video–by over 900,000 views–is THIS 2-minute clip of the “Rudy Play” which is a slightly misleading title because there are a few plays before you actually get to the famous walk-on’s sack. That’s 13 more than Michigan football but 40 fewer than Alabama football. Every once and a while I’ll take a look at Notre Dame football content on YouTube in an attempt to find something interesting or historical I haven’t watched before. So, it’s been around a while but in the grand scheme really not that long. YouTube was created a few months after Charlie Weis was hired at Notre Dame and the first video uploaded to the site came in late April 2005.
